PPC client Shyrene Kashmerick trains to compete at 2005 NPC USA Bodybuilding, Figure and Fitness Championship in Las Vegas.
With a goal to become a pro before she turned 30 years old, Shyrene Kashmerick's path to success has been paved with both triumphs and hurdles.
Shyrene was physically fit during and after high school, playing and competing in volleyball, softball and roller-skating for over 8 years.
Success is often preceded with adversity, and Shyrene's challenge came in the form of a stroke 4 1/2 years ago that affected the entire left side of her body. But Shyrene refused to be held back and started on the long road to recovery, deciding to compete only 2 years ago, with a goal only being the very best and making it to the nationals.
Turning to Poliquin Performance, Shyrene has been training to build muscle mass and to help rehabilitate the left side of her body. To date, she has recovered from approximately 90% of the damage.
Last year, she competed in the NPC Arizona National Qualifier and placed 1st.
Shyrene is a professional fitness model. She recently completed a photo shoot in San Diego with world-renowned photgrapher Ralph BeHaan whose images are used in popular magazines such as Oxygen, FLEX, MucleMag and others.
Shyrene will next be competing in the NPC USA Bodybuilding, Figure, and Fitness Championships on July 29th and 30th in Las Vegas, NV.
