SAM BAKER – USC TROJANS

  • Sam Joined the Poliquin Team following his Junior season at USC. Looking to gain additional strength, speed and power, Sam turned to the professionals that have trained over 900 Olympic and professional athletes to accomplish his goal.

    When Sam reported to Poliquin Performance Center in Chicago we performed our standard three-hour evaluation on him. Sam was tested for flexibility, musculoskeletal screening, upper & lower structural balance, speed, power and nutrition. With the results of our Structural Balance Assessment we developed a program specifically for Sam to strengthen his weaknesses and develop that raw power needed to play on the line.

    In the past 6 weeks Sam has worked hard to increased his strength, speed and power in preparation for the combine and Pro Day. Even with one week off for the Senior Bowl, Sam has made incredible progress “4.5 increase in his vertical jump in three weeks”. Sam has the work ethic of a true Champion, his dedication and hard work will ensure success in the NFL.

    Sam Bakers Training Schedule

    Weight Training - 2 weight training sessions per day. 10-12 sessions per week.

    Example Posterior Chain Workout “1 of 4 exercises are shown that he performs during his A.M workout.



    Flexibility Work- 6 days per week

    Active Release, Chiropractic, Soft Tissue Work – 3-5 sessions per week

    Medical and IV – Two times per week

    Speed Work – 2-4 times per week as needed

    Nutrition- Prior to beginning Sams nutrition program he was tested for food allergies. As with most athletes we found several foods including beef, salmon and dozens of other foods that Sam was sensitive to. All Sam’s meals are 100% organic and prepared by Julie Burns of Sports Fuel. Every other day Sam gets all his meals delivered directly to his door.
